Everton manager Marco Silva saw his stock slightly rise at the weekend after our more recent poor form as we took a pretty comprehensive victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Having taken three points ahead of the March international break with an unexpected victory over Chelsea, we didn’t let the fixture lull get in the way and we’ve seen the return of some momentum with back to back victories for the first time since last October.

It was a much-needed return to form and it was thoroughly deserved after the scintillating first 45 minute showing from the team where the only complaint could really be, the scoreline wasn’t greater.

Writing in his Daily Mail column following the weekend’s action, former player Jamie Redknapp gushed about our performance.

“What a crucial month it has been for Marco Silva. Everton have been woefully inconsistent this season but in the last few weeks have produced performances that suggest things are finally starting to click. They followed up a brilliant win over Chelsea with an utterly dominant victory at West Ham. Silva must use the remaining games to build momentum to take into next season.”

I’m not sure Redknapp actually needed the rest of the paragraph – ‘utterly dominated’ more than summed up the game and our performance.
