Former Everton player Don Hutchison is called on manager Marco Silva to give youngster Ademola Lookman more game time in the Premier League campaign of 2018/19 following his substitute appearance against Manchester United on Sunday.

Heading to Old Trafford for the game, Everton ultimately went down 2-1 on the day with Gylfi Sigurdsson’s late penalty being nothing more than a consolation even if we arguably deserved far more from the game than we took.

The 21-year-old youngster came on just after the hour mark in the match as he replaced Bernard but he did only manage 19 touches and he had one effort on goal but it didn’t test their goalkeeper David de Gea. He did, however, look lively and Hutchison felt that to get the best out of the former Charlton Athletic man, our gaffer now needed to give him four or five starts on the spin to get his confidence really flowing.

Given summer shenanigans with RB Leipzig, plenty of fans are now torn on Lookman and many believe his future isn’t with us but there’s an undoubted talent there if we can tap into it again.
