According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are taking a closer look at Everton winger Yannick Bolasie.
The powerful wide-man looks set to be surplus to requirements this season but there’s no reason why he wouldn’t be a part of things in the future.
Certainly, he’s a player I like and if we are going to let him go I’d rather it be on loan so we at least have the chance to bring him back in.
With that in mind, then, Villa’s interest should be something we welcome as they are looking for a loan deal for the winger.
He would surely tear the Championship up if he stayed fit and for a side like Villa who are looking to go up this season with their attacking style he’d likely be a hit.
Let’s see if goes through in the next couple of weeks or not, then, as he’s clearly not in our immediate plans.
