Everton have shown signs of progression under Marco Silva but a continued failure to replace Romelu Lukaku after his move to Manchester United in 2017 has led to continued problems.
It seems that the Toffees are finally looking to fill that void during the January window though as reports indicate Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi is within the club’s sights, with the Blues ready to end his loan spell with Valencia prematurely.
The Belgium international has struggled to make an impact in LaLiga, scoring three goals in 23 appearances across all competitions, but is still highly-rated and valued at a hefty £27m by TransferMarkt – although it is possible Everton could negotiate a smaller fee for the 25-year-old.
Despite Batshuayi’s inability to settle after arriving in English football, also spending time on loan last season with Borussia Dortmund, Everton fans on social media are determined to see their side get a deal over the line.
We have gathered some of their comments below.

£14m for Batshuayi, we’ve got to be all over that surely, crying out for a clinical finisher. #EFC

Re: Batshuayi–there's a lot to unpack. Clearly the squad is not getting the production from the striking position it needs. What does this interest say about how they view DCL's potential? May be an assumption we could do better in summer, but can we? #EFC

For 14million it would be foolish not too! He has talent no doubt!

I'm not a massive fan of Batshuayi but if he's available for as little as £14million quid thats a bit of a snip.
