Yesterday afternoon Everton confirmed that members of our Everton Disabled Supporters Association had now been given a new tour of the accessible viewing platform ahead of our opening game of the 2018/19 season at Goodison Park.

With work over the summer bringing the ground more into line with the previously agreed Premier League Accessibility Stadia Guidance plan, the completion of this work is another step in the right direction for us as it provides 45 wheelchair position as well as space for companion seating.
The new area will be filled for the first time this weekend as we host Southampton at our ground on Saturday.
This particular section rounds off two years of phased development work in the Main Stand and Howard Kendall Gwladys Street Lower last season but it is only the second phase of improvements that we are looking at.
Reactions to the confirmation of this news went over incredibly well on social media with fans delighted with the upgrade.
This is brilliant so well done to all concerned.
Selfishly it would have been nice if, during the build some thought was given to an additional exit for those of us in the PE. Leaving at full time takes forever!— Ian G (@IanG1878) August 16, 2018
