Though it’s not been the best start to the season, there has at least been some signs that things will come good.

Put it this way, we’ve not started the campaign playing dire football and chalking up losses.

In most matches, we’ve had a real go and even at the weekend there was a chance that we could have beaten Arsenal – especially in the first half.

The plan, then, has to be to stick together and stick at it despite some eager to stick the knife in and it is clear that Kurt Zouma is buying into that philosophy.

He’s had this to say via the club site:

“If you watched the [Arsenal] game you can see that everybody is working in the same way.

“We are all together — there is no doubt about it. We want to win games and you can see there is a lot of quality in the team.”

A powerful defender, Zouma is only on loan but I think we can say that he cares about performances and results for us.

He might not even be at the club next year but right now he’s thinking about the Blues and this message is something we all need to adhere to.
