Everton are now interested in signing 18-year-old midfielder, Ivan Fresneda in January but could be forced to pay his release clause of around £30 million according to recent reports.
Fresneda made his debut for La Liga side Real Valladolid at the end of last season in a disappointing 3-0 loss to Real Betis.
He became a prominent member of Real Valladolid B last season at the age of just 17, playing 8 times for the side before being promoted to the first team.
Since making his debut, he has made 9 appearances, 6 of which coming this season.
He is also capped twice for the Spain under-19 squad.
According to AS.com, Everton have joined a number of clubs in holding an interest in signing the 18-year-old in January, with the likes of Newcastle United also interested [via Sport Witness].
He signed a new contract with Real Villadoid during the summer which included a release clause valued at £10 million, but that amount has risen to £30 million due to him making 6 first-team appearances.
However, if he manages to make 22 appearances this season, the value of the release clause will rise to £45 million [via Sport Witness].
If Everton want to sign their man, they might need to act quickly and pay the money in January.
