Everton have been handed a severe setback in their pursuit of Lorient forward duo Dango Ouattara and Terem Moffi with both of their valuations likely to skyrocket after Monaco fixture.

The toffees have recently been linked with moves for Terem Moffi and Dango Ouattara as part of their hunt for attacking reinforcements, but given the club’s financial struggles recently, a potential deal to bring them to Goodison Park is looking bleak.

Ouattara and Moffi have been two of the standout performers in Ligue 1 this season for Lorient, with their side sitting in an impressive 6th position 18 games into the season.

The attacking duo have 20 goal contributions combined this season, an outstanding record that they added to with both scoring in a 2-2 draw with AS Monaco last night.

Everton reportedly had a £20 million bid rejected for Ouattara earlier this month. However, the 20-year-old is continuing to put himself in the shop window and it will likely not be long until some of the biggest teams in Europe become interested in the winger.

Premier League rivals Southampton were also reportedly in negotiations to sign Terem Moffi earlier this month, with a fee of around £10 million being touted.
