Everton could hijack Marcelo Bielsa’s move to Premier League rivals

|

Everton are considering hijacking Marcelo Bielsa’s move to Premier League rivals, AFC Bournemouth amid concern over the potential future of Frank Lampard at the club, according to recent reports.

Bielsa has remained jobless since being sacked by Leeds United midway through last season, being replaced by Jesse Marsch.

However, AFC Bournemouth have recently contacted the Argentinian over potentially acquiring his services after sacking their former manager, Scott Parker just 4 games into the new Premier League season.

However, football news outlet, Football Insider believe that Everton have discussed potentially attempting to hijack the Cherries’ move for Marcelo Bielsa.

Current Everton manager, Frank Lampard has received a lot of criticism lately due to his side’s recent poor performances, including two losses to Bournemouth in 4 days by an aggregate score of 7-1.

Although the club’s hierarchy are currently willing to stand by the Englishman in his attempt to turn the season around, a list of potential replacements must be in construction. With the Qatar World Cup fast approaching, Moshiri and his board of directors do not need to rush into any decisions at the moment.

The blues have already been linked to the likes of Roberto Martinez and Sean Dyche since reports started suggesting that Lampard’s job was under scrutiny, with Bielsa being the most recent and potentially most qualified of the lot.
