Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Everton are pushing to sign Villareal winger Arnaut Danjuma on a loan deal during the January transfer window.

Since the departure of Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer window, Everton have really been struggling for attacking prowess, only managing to find the net 14 times in 18 Premier League games so far this season.

The toffees have recently been at the forefront of quite a few links to Villareal forward Arnaut Danjuma, with the Dutchman supposably being allowed to leave on loan in January.

In a recent interview with GiveMeSport, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Everton’s interest in Danjuma, stating:

“For Danjuma, there are many teams that are interested”

“I am told that Everton are really pushing”

“But also Nottingham Forest are exploring this move… also Unai Emery knows the player so well”

Everton did recall Ellis Simms from his loan deal in the Championship earlier this month in the hope that he can provide some attacking reinforcement. However, it is clear that the club will need to sign at least one other attacker in the window to aid their battle to remain in the Premier League.

Whilst a deal to bring in Arnaut Danjuma is clearly far from complete, the potential signing of a player of the 25-year-old’s quality would be a good deal for the blues.
