Everton have had a bid worth around £17.7 million turned down for Lorient winger Dango Ouattara amid interest from several other Premier League sides, according to recent reports

The toffees have been linked to several attackers since the start of the window, with Anthony Elanga and Arnaut Danjuma seemingly the latest.

However, it seems that 20-year-old Lorient winger Dango Ouattara is top of their priority list.

According to the Football Insider, Everton had a bid of £17.7 million rejected for the African winger, with Lorient deeming the bid ‘inadequate’.

AFC Bournemouth have supposedly jumped to pole position for Ouattara after holding talks during the week.

The cherries also have taken a significant advantage in their hopes of signing the winger, with the owner of the south-coast club, Bill Foley, recently acquiring minority ownership in Dango Ouattara’s club Lorient

With Everton currently holding a lot of financial constraints, they will need to use almost every option in their power if they are to complete a deal with the French club.

There have been reports that a few of the toffees’ players could leave the club in the transfer window to build funds, with Nathan Broadhead the first to leave the club permanently this month, joining Ipswich Town for just over £1 million.

Micheal Keane, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Mason Holgate have also been linked with permanent departures from Goodison Park in recent weeks.
