Everton Football Club have announced a partnership deal with world-leading sports and entertainment consultancy firm, Elevate Sports Ventures to support the club’s delivery of its commercial strategy for their new water-front stadium.

Elevate Sports Ventures will be working with the Club on a ‘bold revenue generation programme’, including developing a range of new partnership opportunities and a global search for a naming rights partner for what will become one of the most iconic stadiums in world football, according to the American sports and entertainments firms.

Adam Jones has reported that in January of 2020, Everton signed another deal with Russian company USM, that would give the company an ‘exclusive option’ for naming rights on the stadium. However, due to Vladimir Putin’s recent invasion of Ukraine, and USM’s owner, Alisher Usmanov having strong links to Putin, the club cut all ties and negotiations between themselves, USM and any other firm associated with Usmanov. This, therefore left EFC without a concrete plan for the naming rights of their new stadium, eventually leading to the partnership with Elevate Sports Ventures.

Richard Kenyon, Everton’s Chief Commercial and Communications Officer told Elevate Sports Ventures:

“It is important that the Club capitalises on the many commercial opportunities presented to us by what will be a world-class stadium on a world-famous waterfront. To do this, we needed to find the right partner to ensure we maximised these opportunities, particularly in respect of commercial partnerships.”

Everton’s new home at Bramley Moore Dock is the largest single-site development under construction in the UK currently. It is estimated by Global Commercial Real Estate and Investment firm CBRE that Everton’s new stadium and associated developments could deliver a £1.3bn boost to the nation’s economy, create around 15,000 jobs and attract more than 1.4m visitors to the city of Liverpool.
