Everton Football Club have announced an extension to their current deal with kit manufacturer, Hummel, which will extend through to the completion of the 2023/24 season.

The toffees first signed a deal to make the Danish Sportswear firm their kit manufacturer before the start of the 2020/21 season, replacing competitors Umbro with whom the club had a deal previously.

Everton have a long history with Umbro, with the English firm making lots of the club’s kits over the late 80s to the early Premier League era, with the most famous probably being from the 1994/95 season, the season that Everton beat Manchester United at Wembley to win the FA Cup. The 2000/01 season was the first season in nearly a decade in which Umbro was not the shirt manufacturer for the club, instead being replaced by Puma, before returning to Umbro for the 2004/05 season, when Everton’s deal with Puma expired.

Hummel have gained a number of plaudits since joining forces with the Merseysiders for their numerous limited-edition products such as their Copenhagen 21 LGBTQ+ warm-up jerseys, spreading the message of the club being strongly against homophobia, but also some items which were some of the club’s best sellers in recent years, such as their Alan Ball training shoes and their ‘Stars and Stripes’ warm-up jerseys used recently in the blue’s pre-season trip to the US.
