After Everton’s 2-0 defeat to Norwich City, some fans have called on Marco Silva to drop Cenk Tosun. The 28-year-old has enjoyed a surprise recall to the starting lineup, but he hasn’t been too impressive and could find his spot up for grabs with so much competition for places.
Everton have been short of goals this season, scoring 13 in as many games, so they can’t afford to have a striker not finding the target. Tosun has only one goal in six appearances and didn’t make the most of his opportunities over the weekend.
@CenkTosun_ never gives up. It's hard for a striker like him to play solo up front when he barely gets a pass all game. He needs another competent forward with him and some good supply to even have a chance. We lost easily to a poor team today. It's not just Tosun. #EFC

Silva's persistence with a winning line-up really isn't paying off at the moment. Tosun not offering a great deal up front & Sigurdsson hardly at the races either. Serious changes needed at the break #EFC

Tosun and Sigurdsson should’ve been swapped for Iwobi and DCL from the start. I like Tosun but he just doesn’t bring enough. He is a great impact sub but Kean should be getting those minutes. With Richarlsion sometimes playing up top the position is saturated

I’d take Benni Beningime, Anthony Gordon and Moise Kean over Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson and Tosun every day of the week. #EFC

Shocking display again, Norwich should be in front https://t.co/uyS6pl36lV Tosun and Walcott can be in ahead of Kean and Iwobi??? Sigurdsson missing again. Everyone can see this but Silva still sticks to same players/tactics. Plus Gordon should of had a run out today #EFC

Against Norwich, the Turkish international played for 90 minutes, had 28 touches, won two aerial duels, completed 85.7% of his 14 passes, had four shots with 50% accuracy, whipped in two crosses, drew two fouls and created one chance.
Should Everton sell Cenk Tosun?
Yes
No
Tosun has 10 goals in 49 appearances for Everton, so it’s understandable why fans are bemused by Silva’s decision to start him. The 28-year-old has only scored four Premier League goals in the last 18 months too. Whether he keeps his place in attack against Leicester City (December 1) remains to be seen.
