Everton dropped points once more in the Premier League. This time at the hands of Aston Villa as they salvaged a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

This wasn’t the only thing that the Goodison Park faithful were irritated about, but Alex Iwobi’s performance.

The visitors took the lead halfway through the second half through Ezri Konsa who got on the end of Conor Hourihane’s free-kick.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side looked as if they were barrelling along to another defeat but Theo Walcott’s header crept over the line as Konsa failed to keep it out as the referee gave the goal via goal-line technology.

The Nigerian winger started on the right and came off just after the hour mark, and it is easy to see why.

Per Sofascore, the 24-year-old managed to win only one duel, only played two successful crosses and lost possession nine times.

With this in mind, supporters were left fuming with Iwobi’s performance, making several comments online about the manner of his showing. One fan said that he bottled it again, while others believed that he offers nothing and that he is “non-existent” in this team.
