Everton legend, Tim Cahill has announced that he has retired from international football. The 38-year-old has been a tremendous ambassador for Australia, and his contributions will always be remembered.
The official Everton Twitter account congratulated Cahill on an astounding international career. During his international career, the midfielder amassed a staggering total of 107 caps, scoring a marvellous total of 50 goals.
Cahill established himself as a firm fan-favourite during his eight-year association with us. In 268 games for the club, the Australian scored a highly commendable total of 68 goals.
Here’s how Everton fans have responded to his retirement on Twitter.
Should be made a club ambassador. Modern, idolised by a young fanbase and easily identifiable the world over; not withstanding the fact he’s a nice lad also…
