Everton have caught the eye this season under Marco Silva, showing significant improvements on the field and reaping the rewards from a busy summer.
The Toffees worked hard prior to the start of the campaign to draft in the likes of Lucas Digne, Bernard, Richarlison, Yerry Mina, Kurt Zouma and Andre Gomes – all of whom have caught the eye at stages this season.
Digne, in particular, has attracted plenty of plaudits after solid performances in defence for Everton and his fine club form has been rewarded with another call-up to France’s international squad – earning an opportunity to add to his 22 caps.
An unused substitute for Tuesday’s 1-0 friendly victory over Uruguay, a match where Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud scored the game’s only goal, Digne still attracted plenty of praise ahead of the game from a variety of supporters.
