Everton have had plenty to be happy about this season after showing signs of improvement under the guidance of Marco Silva.
The Toffees secured a fine result prior to the international break by holding Chelsea to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge, giving themselves a platform to build upon in the coming weeks as they host Cardiff before making the short trip across the city to tackle arch-rivals Liverpool.
Everton will hope for a positive result in the first Merseyside derby under Silva and it is certainly a match that divides the city – and one Toffees fan called into TalkSport to share a story about how he failed to make his son support Everton, who chose Liverpool instead.
Plenty of fans reacted to the hilarious story, which is every parent’s worst nightmare, and we have gathered some of the best reactions below.
I don't understand how can you let this happen? My son was given no choice. There was an Everton teddy waiting in his bed in the Maternity Ward when he returned from the Delivery Room. He was never asked to choose, he was told which team he supported.
