Everton fans have had plenty to discuss during the international break despite their side not being in action.
Supporters of the Toffees have enjoyed seeing Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin impress for Brazil and England’s U21 side respectively, while still riding high from a fine result prior to the break that saw Marco Silva’s side hold Chelsea to a goalless draw.
There is certainly plenty of optimism surrounding Goodison Park this season as Everton aim to return to European football, looking to bring back the times when they would be regulars in continental action.
During those years, Australian midfielder Tim Cahill was a shining light for the Toffees and fans paid their respects to the iconic ace this week after he made his international farewell to his national side.
Cahill earned his 108th appearance for the Socceroos this week, leaving him second in the nation’s list of all-time appearances, and was given a memorable sendoff by Australia fans – and Everton supporters also got in on the act.
