Without question, Ademola Lookman’s Everton career has failed to prosper as expected. Nonetheless, the 20-year-old demonstrated his quality on loan with RB Leipzig, and recent rumours indicate that the German club are interested in signing the youngster on a permanent basis.
As Goal reports, RB Leipzig have confirmed that they’re interested in signing Ademola Lookman from Everton this summer, and it’s rumoured that we’ve already declined a £12M approach for his signature.
Here’s how Everton supporters have responded to the news on Twitter.
Lookman is a young player with years to run on his deal, not an established veteran. Everton must simply say no, provide him with a role/opportunity he won’t want to leave and go from there. The club simply aren’t in a position from a talent standpoint to acquiesce. #EFC https://t.co/aYZ0NTyyZg

Our fans moaning at Leipzig, but the fact is Lookman would rather go there than stay here.

Everton need to seriously start to give Lookman some love. He clearly hasn't settled here yet. We need to get an arm around him and quickly. He has all the potential in the world and is a game changer.

If Lookman doesn’t want to be here than get him sold soon as.

Verdict:
If we’re to sell Lookman, then £12M is frankly sufficient given the current state of the transfer market. That said, I’m hopeful that we can convince the Englishman to stay at Goodison Park and see whether he can prosper under the guidance of Marco Silva.
His quality and his potential are irrefutable, he’s exceedingly gifted, and while he has failed to impress on a consistent basis since joining the club, he should be awarded the opportunity to demonstrate his worth.
