Andre Carrillo has been linked with our club this summer but recent reports suggest that the attacker is going to snub a Premier League stay and go the Middle East.
This, of course, would not be the first time a footballer has decided to go for the money rather than the challenge and according to Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha – via Sport Witness – the latest case involves Carrillo.
Put simply, the player has apparently turned down the chance to move to Goodison Park because Al Hilal can offer him more money.
At the end of the day, if that’s the case it’s perhaps not such a big miss.
The Verdict
Money talks and to be honest I am not that fussed if we do miss out on Carrillo.
He’s a decent player but he’s not worth blowing the wage structure for and so hopefully we can find someone who’d rather take the next step up with us.
