It was another poor and disappointing Saturday evening for Everton fans as manager Marco Silva’s side fell to yet another defeat in our clash against his former club Watford.

A 1-0 defeat at Vicarage Road from what was largely a fairly balanced game, did see some decent performances but that spark in the final third wasn’t there – even though we hit the woodwork twice.

Those fans critical of the gaffer will see this as proof he continues to slide with no answer, those with greater patience may well take the few positives they can knowing the game could easily have ended with a point. The facts are it’s three defeats in a row now though, and for those hoping for a small run at the European places this year, they will have probably put those hopes in the bin.

Statistics website Whoscored gave their star man award to centre-half Michael Keane as he took a rating of 7.65.

The top five on the day were completed by Idrissa Gueye (7.58), Lucas Digne (7.54), Jonjoe Kenny (7.19) and Andre Gomes (6.85).

News that Kurt Zouma will now serve a suspension for getting a second yellow card following the final whistle probably sums things up at the moment.
