Everton welcomed Leicester City to Goodison Park for the first 2019 Premier League clash in yesterday’s early kickoff.

Following defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion we were looking to get back to winning ways in the top tier table to set ourselves up for a more successful second half to the season and most fans were probably hoping to see someone other than Lucas Digne step up and perform given how often he takes statistics website Whoscored’s Man of the Match award this season.

A second half goal from Jamie Vardy ruined manager Marco Silva’s plans and sent us to a 1-0 defeat and even the gaffer knew he couldn’t really argue with the result as we were incredibly poor on the day and a lot of players just didn’t turn up.

Fans will have their own thoughts about Jonjoe Kenny’s performance, with 107 touches in the game (the most of any player) he put the effort in and earned a score of 7.21.

Idrissa Gueye (6.79), Kurt Zouma (6.58), Andre Gomes (6.52) and Digne (6.50) completed the top five on the day but there’s not a lot to shout about.
