Everton have improved significantly under the guidance of Marco Silva and secured another victory on Saturday against Cardiff City.
Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the only goal of the game at Goodison Park but it was Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes who was voted by the supporters as Man of the Match, with the Portuguese international continuing his impressive form on Merseyside.
The 25-year-old has quickly established himself as a fan favourite in the eyes of Everton supporters and calls for a transfer to be made permanent have been echoing around social media for a number of weeks – and positive news has now emerged.
Reports confirm that Silva is keen to bring the Euro 2016 winner to the club on a permanent basis and he will begin negotiations with LaLiga champions Barcelona imminently, which led fans to express their delight on Twitter.
We have gathered some of their reactions to the latest update below.
That would be a great thing for our club

If Magic Marcel hasn't already made inquiries, he isn't doing his job.
Being that he is actually magic, I'd put my house on him having agreed a price already.— 🌊 Paul Downes 🇺🇦 (@CallmeDownsie) November 26, 2018

Without a shadow of a doubt. Most ‘Rolls Royce’ player we’ve had at the club since the 80s.

I hope that Everton try to make Gomes a permanent move as he has been a breath of fresh air in the squad.

He is an exceptional player. I’m sure every team will be after him if we don’t sign him permanently.
