‘We would have won comfortably‘ – Silva man still needs to win these Everton fans over

|

Some Everton fans have been discussing on social media who Marcel Brands must target first once the summer transfer window opens, and clearly one Marco Silva man has work to do if he is to win over the fanbase.

That man if Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has started as the lead forward in our attack for our last nine games, but has not scored since we lost 3-2 to Newcastle.

And yet in that time, we have only lost once and have scored nine goals. We did, however, fail to beat Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Calvert-Lewin only finding the target with one of his five efforts before being hauled off for Cenk Tosun.

His strike against the Magpies had put his case to the front of the queue to be our main striker going forward, too, as it was his sixth in the Premier League this season – three times that of Tosun, who had made seven fewer appearances, and had played 130 fewer minutes, at that stage.

Toffees supporters sharing their views on who Brands’ main priority should be did not only focus on finding a new striker, however.

Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma, as you would expect, were prominent names supporters wish to see ply their trades at Goodison Park next season, with multiple shouts for our Director of Football to turn their respective loans into permanent arrangements.

Here’s a round-up of what has been shared on Twitter…
