Loads of Everton fans hated the design of Umbro’s latest offering when the club unveiled our new home kit for the 2019/20 season, with some dubbing the design ‘cheap’ and ‘boring’, while another suggested it was the ‘worst one in my lifetime’.

It appears those vocal with their displeasure have reflected their frustration in the number of orders being placed, as u/MoistTadpoles has shared a screengrab on Reddit showing our home kit already being marked down.

The club are still listing the short-sleeve version of the shirt at £55 for adults, £45 for kids, £40 for juniors and £35 for babies, while the long-sleeve alternative would set supporters back £60 for an adult size or £50 for a child size.

One outlet in America, though, has knocked $10 (£8.02) off the price of the long-sleeve version and $7 (£5.61) off the short-sleeve alternative, leaving fans with the prospect of paying $90 (£72.14) and $83 (£66.52) respectively to acquire Umbro’s latest design.

While fans have been vocal in their disgust at Umbro’s design, the English sportswear manufacturer had attempted to deviate from a traditional template to work in the iconic criss-cross steelwork of the upper-tier of the Bullens Road stand at Goodison Park.

But their efforts did not hit the right spot, and some Toffees supporters are not surprised to see the kit already falling on the discount shelves…
