Everton are fighting for consistency under the guidance of Marco Silva and picked up a valuable victory at Goodison Park on Saturday, beating Brighton 3-1.
The standout performer of the match was summer signing Richarlison as the Brazilian starlet took his tally to six goals in nine Premier League appearances this season by netting a brace, with the 21-year-old back on the scoresheet after two games without a goal.
Richarlison’s form means that only Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sergio Aguero and Eden Hazard have scored more goals than the former Watford man so far this season and it seems his fine performances have not gone unnoticed by rival clubs.
Taking to Twitter after the match, Brighton defender Shane Duffy admitted he found it difficult against Richarlison and dubbed the Everton ace as a top player – which earned plenty of plaudits from Toffees supporters on social media.
The Republic of Ireland international spent five years at Everton previously and we have gathered some of the best reactions to his response after clashing with his former side.

Doing well Shane 3 clean sheets before yesterday, that first touch though Franco Baresi would have lost him! Good luck for the rest of the season
