FC Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo is willing to listen to offers from Everton and Watford, according to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness.

The France U20 international is a highly sought-after talent in the January window, with interest from Goodison Park and Vicarage Road joined by rival approaches from Southampton, Bayer Leverkusen and AS Monaco.

Italian sleeping giant AC Milan are also courting the 20-year-old, though reports of the Rossoneri agreeing a deal for the centre-back have since been refuted despite chiefs of the San Siro natives travelling to Catalunya.

Milan are believed to have since given Todibo a deadline of this week to decide if he wishes to join Stefano Pioli’s side, who are currently 12th in the Serie A after drawing 0-0 with Sampdoria on Monday.

But Todibo is not rushing into deciding where his future lies, and is keen to listen to what Everton, Watford and other interested sides have to offer before signing on the dotted line anywhere in Europe.

Milan’s offer does seduce Todibo, who has been an outcast member of Ernesto Valverde’s plans in Spain this term, with the £9million-rated centre-half only awarded 167 minutes of action across all competitions thus far.

Todibo choosing not to sign with Milan just yet will come as a big boost to Everton and manager Carlo Ancelotti – should the Italian be interested in making the deal happen – as the 20-year-old’s hesitation shows we have a shot at landing his signature.

It is expected that Todibo will decide which club he joins in mid-January, and could connect with fellow former Barcelona men Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne at Goodison Park, though neither of the trio have played alongside the centre-back before.

Todibo could even rival Mina for minutes in Ancelotti’s plans, after the Colombian’s performance against Liverpool in the FA Cup left much to the imagination and drew a lot of criticism from the Toffees fanbase.

In other Everton news, the club have confirmed the departure of a midfielder, but some fans hope he is not the last to go.
