Ashley Williams left the club last night on a loan deal to Stoke City and that certainly made a fair amount of our fans happy.
In fairness to Williams he did care greatly about the club and gave his all but he is on the decline and got caught out way too much last year.
A move away makes sense, then, and the suggestion from the likes of goal.com is that should free up room for the arrival of Marcos Rojo.
The Argentine has been linked with the club for a while now and it seems that he is the player Silva wants to bring in as a new centre-half.
Personally, I am not a massive fan of Rojo as I think he can be rash in the challenge and make mistakes and, honestly, isn’t that much an improvement on Williams.
The only thing I can think is that we’ll get him in and then perhaps another defender as more first choice alongside Michael Keane.
