The reveal that underlines Everton man’s sluggish start

The Blues need to try and bounce back this weekend against Arsenal after a disappointing run out against West Ham last time out.

The Hammers were decent against us, it must be said, but we certainly helped them out by playing poorly and making silly mistakes.

Certainly, the usually composed Jordan Pickford was at fault for one of their goals after a poor pass and that seems indicative of his start.

Indeed, according to Sky Sports, his pass success rate is 45.7% – far worse than any of the stoppers in the big 6.

He’s not a ball-playing keeper anyway, of course, but he can do it if needs be and usually he is better than he has been.

Clearly, there’s a slight ebb in his ability to play the ball at the moment and so hopefully we’ll see that improve sooner rather than later.

It’s just one area we need to sharpen up on.
