According to the Yorkshire Post, Yannick Bolasie’s wages could prove a stumbling block as Middlesbrough look to get a loan deal for him over the line.
The winger remains our player at the moment but he has been evidently told that he is surplus to requirements for this season at least.
Indeed, a loan deal away would be wise for all involved with Middlesbrough seemingly the most keen on bringing him in.
However, he is on Premier League wages and so if any deal is to go through we are apparently going to have to make some sort of contribution to that figure if he moves.
Whether the club is willing to do that remains to be seen, then, and it might make sense for the Blues to see whether other clubs are open to coming in and paying the full wage of the player before the end of the loan window.
