As per a report in Bloomberg, Alisher Usmanov would apparently consider investing further into Everton to help out his ‘friend’ Farhad Moshiri.
Usmanov is no longer at Arsenal after Stan Kroenke took full control and so it seems he is now available to bring his finances elsewhere.
His presence can already be noted at Finch Farm, of course, and it could well be that he is now willing to get more involved with his comments certainly suggesting he is thinking that way.
He said:
“If he [Moshiri] needs the support, I am happy to help.
“Should there be a proposal or a possibility to invest in them with good potential returns, I would consider the deal.”
The Blues are hardly strapped for cash these days but when you look at the top six and the new ground on the way, it’s evident that we still need to try and get as much in as possible.
If someone as rich as Usmanov wants in, then, with him knowing Moshiri, too, it would make sense to try and get him in as soon as possible in my eyes.
