According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa have made a late play to try and take Yannick Bolasie to Villa Park and away from Middlesbrough.
Boro had already made their move for the player with it looking likely that he’d be going there as a replacement for Adama Traore.
Villa also need attacking options this season, though, and it seems as though the former Palace winger now could possibly end up there.
Certainly, whatever happens he has got a decision to make with it clear that Marco Silva does not want him this season.
A loan is for the best, then, and if it was me I would probably join Villa.
Though Boro are leading the way in the Championship at the moment Villa are the bigger club and getting them back into the Premier League would certainly be some achievement when you look at the fan-base.
