Report: Henry Onyekuru transfer update

|

According to Fanatik, Bayern Munich are interested in Henry Onyekuru and have their sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic is reported to have contacted Everton’s Director of Football Marcel Brands over his availability. The 21-year-old has impressed while on loan at Galatasaray but he’s still having work permit problems preventing him playing for Everton.

After being signed from KAS Eupen in July 2017, Onyekuru was immediately loaned out to Anderlecht (10 goals in 28 games) for the season and joined Gala ahead of the 2018/19 campaign. He’s scored 11 goals in 34 games for the Turkish outfit and has a £34m asking price on his head, according to Sport Witness.

Everton have soldiered on with Bernard, Theo Walcott and Richarlison, but Onyekuru’s form on loan has shown supporters what they’re missing out on. The Toffees signed him off the back of 30 goals and 11 assists in 60 games at KAS Eupen and the player hasn’t wavered despite the uncertainty over his Goodison Park future.

If Everton can’t make any progress with his work permit, they may be forced to cash in over the summer if they don’t want to loan him out again. And if they’re successful in getting £34m for Onyekurk, the Blues will have landed themselves £27m profit.
