Report: Everton ‘interested’ in ‘devilishly efficient’ midfielder, 19 y/o has ‘stood out’ in Europe

According to France Football, Everton are ‘interested’ in Mohammed Kudus and may have to battle Newcastle United to sign the ‘devilishly efficient’ midfielder this summer.

Kudus is coming off the back of an impressive season at FC Nordsjaelland that ‘stood out’ from the rest in Europe, so it’s easy to see why Everton are so keen to sign the 19-year-old.

Carlo Ancelotti is spoilt for choice with Andre Gomes, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Fabian Delph, Morgan Schneiderlin, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies in midfield, but Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson have uncertain futures at Everton and may need replacing.

The Toffees have been linked with Olympique Marseille’s Morgan Sanson, Napoli’s Allan, Valencia’s Geoffrey Kondogbia, Inter Milan’s Matias Vecino, Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi and Aston Villa’s John McGinn, but Kudus could be a special signing.

The Ghanaian international joined Nords from the Right to Dream academy in 2018 and has gone on to make 51 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and making three assists.

Kudus has made 22 appearances across the board this season, scoring 10 goals and making one assist. He’s made a name for himself at a young age and could improve the Everton midfield, so it will be interesting to see where this story leads.
