Everton are interested in signing Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri, according to Aksam via Sport Witness.

The Ivory Coast international has been on loan with Super Lig side Galatasaray for the 2019/20 term, but has struggled to impress under head coach Fatih Terim and may leave the Turk Telekom Stadium this month having been dubbed a ‘disappointment’.

Seri faces an uncertain future in Turkey, which has so far returned sporadic starts for the 28-year-old, who was shown a straight red card 75 minutes into his second Super Lig appearance and later missed two games through injury.

Terim is yet to decide whether or not he wishes to offer Seri another chance to prove his worth to Galatasaray, who are ten points off league-leaders Sivasspor, and six points behind Champions League qualifying Istanbul Basaksehir.

Seri’s performances for Cimbom have often been inconsistent when the 26-cap international has featured, though the Ivorian started Gala’s most recent Super Lig fixture on December 28 and registered his second assist for the club.

The £16.2million-rated midfielder also scored his only goal for Galatasaray when he made his return from suspension against Yeni Malatyaspor in September, while starting each of the Turkish side’s six Champions League Group Stage matches.

It is not specified whether Carlo Ancelotti is keen to bring the 28-year-old back to the Premier League on a permanent or loan transfer.

Seri started 27 of his 32 Premier League appearances for Fulham last season as the Cottagers crashed out of the top-flight in their first season back, scoring once and assisting three goals.

His performances in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray have featured 11 tackles, seven interceptions, two clearances, eight shots and 11 key balls in 10 appearances, per WhoScored data.

In other Everton news, the club are ready to lodge a €30m bid to land an unsettled midfielder in January.
