According to Phil Kirkbride of the Liverpool Echo, Nikola Vlasic ‘wants to leave’ Everton this summer and could be on his way out of Goodison Park. The 21-year-old has struggled for form and playing time since joining Everton from Hadjuk Split in 2017, causing him to fall down the pecking order under Marco Silva.

Vlasic has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Everton, racking up 1016 minutes of football, but his last outing for the Toffees came against Southampton on May 5, 2018. The Croatian international has contributed just three goals in an Everton shirt and has stiff competition for a starting place back on Merseyside.

With Gylfi Sigurdsson, Bernard and Richarlison firing on all cyclinders, there’s no place for Vlasic. The 21-year-old spent 2018/19 on loan at CSKA Moscow and contributed an impressive 15 goals in 31 games for the Russian Premier League side. The Liverpool Echo say Everton want more than £10m for the £25k-per-week forward.

There is interest in his signature from both CSKA and Besiktas, but whether they’ll pay the asking price remains to be seen. Vlasic has wanted to leave Everton for 12 months, and his wish could well be granted this summer.
