Report: Everton could take £9m hit on centre-forward if deal is agreed with AS Roma

|

According to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Sport Witness), Everton could agree a loan-to-buy deal with AS Roma that could see them take a £9m hit on Moise Kean. The Toffees agreed a deal worth £27.5m for Kean, but Corriere dello Sport believe they’re happy to offload the 19-year-old in January.

Kean has struggled for form and playing time since joining from Juventus, having failed to score in 11 appearances. The Italian international has racked up just 20 minutes of football since October and didn’t even make the matchday squad in Everton’s 2-1 win over Southampton (November 9).

Reports in Italy say Kean’s slow start to life at Goodison Park could lead to a move away, but it’s hard to see Everton offloading the 19-year-old so soon. Even though Marco Silva’s men have struggled for form this season, netting just 13 goals in 12 Premier League games, it’s far too early to sell their centre-forward for £9m less than they paid months before.

Should Everton sell Kean in January?

Yes, if it's for the £27.5m we paid

Yes, just get rid

No, he has to stay

As Everton have Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun in attack, they could loan Kean out until next summer, but a buying option may not be included.
