According to the Telegraph, Stan Kroenke’s bid to take full control at Arsenal could give us a financial boost from Alisher Usmanov.
The American has moved to agree a deal with the Russian for his stake in the Gunners and that could just mean that Usmanov now gets that bit more involved with us.
Of course, we already see elements of his presence around Finch Farm for example and, though nothing is guaranteed, you’d imagine once he is freed up from the Gunners he’ll be looking to get more involved with us.
For sure, he’s got the financial clout which, combined with Moshiri and Kenwright, could make us even richer than we are now.
The challenge is to try and get into the top six and compete with the mega-rich and with this potential development, we might just be on the way to do that.
Things could be about to get very interesting.
