Everton held Chelsea to a goalless draw on Sunday to extend their recent record to just one defeat in their last six Premier Leauge matches.
The Toffees have historically struggled in their travels to Stamford Bridge and the fact that Maurizio Sarri’s side are undefeated in competitive matches under his guidance left the odds stacked firmly against Marco Silva’s side.
However, a superb team performance from Everton saw the Toffees return to Merseyside with a point and plenty of players attracted praise for their displays on social media.
Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes was once again highlighted for a solid performance, which has increased the urges from supporters for Everton to pursue a permanent deal for the Portugal international.
