Chelsea will apparently try to sign Jordan Pickford this summer from us if they end up losing Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian stopper has been with Chelsea for a few years but the speculation around his future has grown and it’s now at a point where this summer it seems likely that he could leave.
And, according to Sky Sports, Pickford will be the man they look to replace him with after a number of fine World Cup displays for England.
The Verdict
I suppose we should always have been braced for stories like this after the summer he had with England.
Arguably the Three Lions’ best player at the tournament, it’s obvious that he is good enough to play in the Champions League but with Chelsea not in it is there much point in him moving?
Surely, we can try and keep him for this season coming at least with that in mind.
