Premier League side make approach to sign £55k-a-week Everton outcast

|

Everton are looking to bolster their ranks during the January transfer window after a turbulent season so far under the guidance of Marco Silva, which has shown signs of promise but has also left plenty of room for improvement.

The Toffees are looking to find consistency in the attacking third and are likely to rejuvenate their forward ranks during the mid-season window, although it is likely that departures will need to occur before new faces are brought in.

An ideal opportunity may have landed on their plate as TeamTalk states relegation-threatened Cardiff City have made an approach for Toffees outcast Oumar Niasse, who is on a hefty £55k-a-week at Goodison Park according to Spotrac.

Niasse has featured just five times in the Premier League this season, none of which has come as a starter, and his total accumulation of minutes stands at just 58 – showing that he is certainly surplus to requirements.
