According to the French outlet L’Equipe – via the Mirror, Kurt Zouma has agreed to join Everton on a season long loan deal from current club Chelsea.
The window shuts within the hour and we’ll obviously be looking to try and get it completed before the deadline passes at 5pm this evening.
We’ve been linked with a number of centre-halves this summer and with Ashley Williams going out on his own loan, it’s clear that we need a new option in there.
The powerful Zouma looks set to be one of the ones to come in, then, with him possessing great levels of pace and strength.
Certainly, he’s capable of being a top defender in the Premier League with his attributes and if he plays regularly we should expect him to become a top asset for us.
Whether or not we actually keep him past the loan remains to be seen, though.
