It’s been suggested that both Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina are now undergoing medicals out in Spain ahead of a potential double capture for Everton.
Speculation about Colombian Mina has been absolutely rife so far this transfer window as he announced his name on the stage at the Russian World Cup but it’s certainly been a rocky road on getting a deal done to bring him to Goodison Park.
It appears we may be over that hurdle though according to a Tweet from Daily Mail journalist Dominic King.
Andre Gomes is having a medical alongside Yerry Mina in Barcelona ahead of @Everton move. He has a slight injury at the moment but not one that will scupper his loan move. Looking more like both deals will be done before the deadline ????

As per the Tweet, Gomes is carrying a slight issue but it’s nothing that should cause concern for fans and in this day and age them not being in the country is not going to be a bar to getting a deal done for their services ahead of the 5pm deadline day closure, so fingers crossed.
Everton doing good business class

It would certainly boost spirits further ahead of the Premier League kick-off this weekend to get two players of that calibre over the line as we continue to build under new manager Marco Silva. Both players should significantly improve the side and Gomes is no slouch, having won 29 Portuguese caps and the trophies his contributed to winning across his career. If his part of the deal is a loan, hopefully, it’s a loan to buy and we are just being ultra cautious over the injury niggle.
