It was being reported yesterday that Everton have rebuffed an offer from Red Bull Leipzig for attacker Ademola Lookman.

Although the 20-year-old youngster seemed to get his way under Sam Allardyce and get his loan to the Bundesliga sanctioned, it appears that Marcel Brands and Marco Silva won’t be quite so easy to push over as according to the Mirror we have knocked back their opening salvo of £12million for his services on a permanent basis.

It’s claimed that he’s already held talks over his future and presumably wants to move on and not fight for a place at Goodison Park, but we’re reluctant to let him go and certainly not at that price.

Having joined from Charlton Athletic back in January 2018, he scored on his debut against Manchester City but made only four starts in 15 games before getting his move abroad approved and it did raise some eyebrows, and a number of comments, at the time.

A £10million outlay, we’ll be looking for at least £15million I would image before we’d even be tempted to deal so I wouldn’t expect this speculation to go away any time soon.
