Everton extended their recent run of form with another victory on Saturday, beating Cardiff City 1-0 at Goodison Park.
The Toffees now boast a sequence of just one defeat in their last seven matches, winning five and drawing just once – an impressive goalless draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago.
However, a daunting task lies ahead as Marco Silva’s side are set to make the short journey across the city to tackle Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and, despite the strong form shown recently, plenty of supporters do not rate their chances.
Everton’s record at Anfield is extremely poor, not winning on Liverpool soil this side of the millennium, and the fact that Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasing side remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season leaves the odds stacked firmly against the Toffees.
