Everton have found consistency difficult to come by in the first few months of Marco Silva’s time at the club and further work needs to be done.

One of the biggest problems has been in the final third, where the Toffees have lacked a top-class forward since losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in 2017 and endeavours to solve that issue have failed in the windows since.

Last year, Everton paid heavily to bring Cenk Tosun to Goodison Park from Besiktas but the Turkey international has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League, scoring just seven league goals in 28 appearances.

Opportunities have been limited under Silva, earning just six Premier League starts, and overall he has accumulated just 634 minutes of action – although he still believe that he is adored by the supporters, which some have quickly taken to social media to disagree with.
