Everton have shown signs of progress under Marco Silva but there have been some hiccups along the way, which shows there is still plenty of work to be done if the club are to meet their lofty ambitions.
After splashing the cash in the summer, Everton could dip into the market once again during the January window to bolster their squad but it currently seems like the more likely scenario would see the Toffees lose a key player.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain continue to monitor Senegal midfielder Idrissa Gueye and L’Equipe state the 29-year-old has already spoken to PSG boss Thomas Tuchel regarding a move, while it is added that super-agent Pini Zahavi, who managed Neymar’s transfer from Barcelona, is pushing a deal.
