Loads of Everton fans have been reacting on social media by sharing their love after Andre Gomes claimed ‘good things are coming’.
The Portuguese has been out of action since November’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, having required surgery after suffering a fracture dislocation to his right ankle during the closing stages of the Premier League match.
It has meant that the 26-year-old has missed our last 15 Premier League fixtures and is yet to feature under Carlo Ancelotti, though is nearing a return after coming through unscathed in a behind-closed-doors friendly over the weekend.
The club have since released the first footage of the former FC Barcelona man in action since sustaining his injury, with a highlight package of the friendly showing Gomes up and running at Finch Farm and in high spirits ahead of kick-off.
Should Gomes feature at Arsenal on Sunday?
Yes, Ancelotti should start him
Yes, but only from the bench
No, let him build his fitness first
Ancelotti could name Gomes in his plans this weekend when we travel to Arsenal, as the boss looks to come out of the winter break with all three points at a ground we have not won at in any of our previous trips with the Gunners unbeaten at home to us since January 1996.
Gomes is not looking back to his previous years as a player ahead of his potential comeback, though, with the £22million star opting to look ahead to what the future holds.
“Looking ahead because good things are coming!” the £112,212-per-week ace noted on Twitter.
Here are some of the messages shared as fans reacted to Gomes’ post…
