Some Everton fans have been reacting on Twitter, after the achievements of Lucas Digne in his maiden campaign at the club were shared on the social media platform.
The French wonder has been one of our standout players this season for his work up and down the left flank, and his efforts in our goalless draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend saw him create his 63rd chance to score.
That is more chances created than any other defender in the Premier League this term, while taking his 31st shot of the campaign moved him into the respective top ten.
Our £22.5million-rated full-back has even produced four goals and four assists in the top-flight since arriving from Barcelona, which is as many goals as Leighton Baines has scored in the past three seasons combined.
Should Digne add a fifth assist to his name when we face Burnley on Friday – or against Tottenham the following week – he will also eclipse Baines’ best tally for a single season since creating nine back in the 2014/15 campaign.
One more goal from our 25-year-old, meanwhile, would match Baines’ best tally in front of the net, as the 34-year-old scored five times in the 2010/11, 2012/13, and 2013/14 seasons.
When Toffees supporters saw that Digne had created the most chances to score by a defender this term, this is what these fans had to say…
And people say Andy Robinson is better

How can he assist if the quality isn’t their to score the goals?

Love him. I didn’t think anyone could match Bainsy but Digne has fitted in seamlessly
